My Husband Rob and I have been going to Nauna's for as long as I can remember....way back when we were just kids and they were located across the street...way before we were husband and wife. Now it is a place we bring our own chidlren. Tucker and Sean have always been great to us and the food has always been amazing. We are happy to be a friend of Nauna's!

Nauna's Bella Casa reminds me a lot of my year in Montclair as an Au Pair! I'm so happy that I found the website. I loved my time in Montclair (and the Pizza at Nauna's) and hope to come back soon!

Raymond, you are the best, and the rest of Nauna's staff was so kind and attentive as well. Thank you so much for a lovely evening! The chicken balsamico was enough to feed me for another day or so, and my husband loved his parmigiana. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We visited Nauna's for the first time last night with our friends Andrea and Bob. Since it was Saturday night, we walked into a very busy scene and a friendly "buzz" was in the air, which I love. I had doubts that we would be able to get a table but then I hadn't met Raymond yet... little did I know that we would be seated within minutes and we enjoyed the most wonderful evening. The food was DELICIOUS and the service was the best. One would have thought that we were 'regulars' rather than first-timers for we could not have been treated in a more friendly or special manner. Thank you for a lovely evening, Raymond, our waiter, Diego, and the entire kitchen staff. We will be back very soon... you all are doing something very right and it didn't go unnoticed for one minute!

im a young guy and i appreciate good food and my lovely friend, michele, who works in the area suggested we go to this place when i asked her if she'd like lunch. so we came. i was shocked they had buffalo fries which were just amazing and the mushroom and onion i got on my pizza was DELICIOUS. this place is great to go to for lunch or even a nice dinner. i cant wait to go back again its relatively inexpensive and the food is great!! the people r soo nice and the facilities r spotless!!

We had a great time at Nauna's from the moment we got there when we were greeted by a really warm friendly guy named Raymond who made us very happy we came. The food was terrific and the BYOB is always nice.

You can't go wrong with this cozy bistro in Montclair.

We came into Nauna'a by recommendation of someone...and we DO NOT regret it. Raymond treated us with the utmost respect and was able to accomodate us without a reservation. The service was prompt and the waitress was courteous. The food was hot when it arrived and in large portions. We recommend the cream of chicken soup, the chicken parmasan and the chicken francase. The garlic bread is to die for.

When a crowd of 14 descended upon you after my mother's funeral last week, you accommodated us without a problem. I was very impressed with the excellent service, and the quality and quantity of the food. Your servers were willing to help us choose dishes and made suggestions as requested. It was a most pleasant experience and when I'm next in Montclair I will definitely eat at Nauna's. Thank you, Mr. Helfrich. Please extend our thanks to your staff as well.

Great Restaurant!!

On our way back from NYC where we just saw the Broadway Show "Curtains" we were looking for a restaurant half way home. Found Nauna's on the CityScape website and clicked on the Menu. Liked what we saw and decided to try it. Glad we did!!

The food was excellent as was the service. Raymond, the Host, made us feel right at home and was very knowledgeable of the "Today's Specials" and the History of Nauna's. Enjoyed our conversations.

This is the type of restaurant you will want to come back to time and time again.

Pricing was very reasonable and the menu has a large selection to satisfy everyone's taste.

Glad we found this place !!

A great evening out usually starts with dinner. Taking a right turn instead of a left to the Chinese restaurant turned out to be a good impulse. We ended up at "Nauna's" on Sat. night.

From the moment we stepped into the hustling and bustling environment, things went smoothly. A full front of the house, we were still able to bypass a hopeful pizza for something unusually authentic. The Farfalle Special was wonderful as was the best house salad in New Jersey. I wish I had an extra bottle of Chianti in the car. Darn!

An appreciator and critic of what is purported to be authentic Italian cuisine, this simple Farfalle Special reminded me of Florence, Italy and my own kitchen. A little crushed red pepper, which I also added to the dish. The mild but picante aroma of garlic, basil, boccacino, eggplant and slightly smashed pomodoro, aldente pasta, served at just the right temperature was sooo good, the aroma reminded me of the streets of Italy.

The insalata della casa is a combination of crispy, well dried lettuces, tomatoes, subtle carrot shavings, cucumber (not authentic but very good) with a mild vinegar, oil and perhaps lemon FRESH salad dressing. No emulsifiers, just a real simple, sheer home made dressing. Excellent!

The bread is always fantastico and the service was terrific too; the polite and friendly host, getting us in and out for our 8 o'clock movie, made the evening better than we expected on a Saturday night when it's almost impossible to find such a great eating situation alfresco.

Often in America, our kitchens are not run by indigenous cooks and chefs who know that there is much more history that goes into putting together an Italian dish than a recipe. Rarely, if ever, are these recipes able to be put to pen and paper. It's in the chef's experience of cooking, possessing that special SOMETHING of HOW to sprinkle that seasoning, boil that pasta, prepare that vegetable and use that pecorino romano, that makes for authenticity.

Whomever the chef, he got it right. Saturday night was an A+ for me at Nauna's. My compliments to the Chef and our waitress for making this evening a terrific experience. And the movie was a winner too!

Thank you "Nauna's" for living up to the promise.

We've lived in town for over 4 years and there's one restaurant we go to and order from more than any other -- Nauna's.

Food is great, fresh and the price is right. The staff - including the phone people and the delivery drivers - are total pros and friendly.

Long live Nauna's -- a total Montclair institution!
